Can SlidesAI Become The King Of Presentation AI? – Full Review (2023)

Functionality

The app exists in Google Slides. Once, you install the addon, you can find it in Google Slides and when you launch it, you will be prompted with a loaded screen.

You’ll notice an option for entering your own prompt, or you can do topic-to-presentation, which basically means you can type “Better Tech Reviews is the best,” and it will deliver you a 10-slide presentation explaining why.

When you select Create Slides, when all the necessary information is filled in, it will give you some animations while it is created. There is also the Magic Write feature that offers the following: paraphrase sentences, recommend images, search icons, and search citations.

Paraphrase sentences is a feature that will spice up your sentences by making them more engaging.

Recommend images is a cool feature that will read your slide and generate some recommendations for images.

Search icons will give you mini symbols to insert into your presentation, and search citations make sure you are giving everyone the credit they deserve.

Performance

The app works fast; the only “speed” issues come from the generation. I understand it will take time to create the content. However, the content created was a little underwhelming.

User Interface

The app is built on another app, so the user interface is that of Google Slides. When prompted, the user interface is a simple design that does exactly what I need to do.

Innovation

For a topic that doesn’t do much, they are clearly working to add as many features as possible. And while these aren’t the most groundbreaking features, I appreciate that they keep the customer in mind. The citation search feature is especially useful to those in academic settings.

Versus The Field

As a full-service presentation tool, I think it’s clear that Visme is better. However, if you want to take advantage of different AI models and worry about the creative design yourself, SlidesAI is your tool.

If you want to streamline the frame of your presentation and get content ideas flowing and not just template ideas like Visme offers, then SlidesAI is the better choice.

Ease Of Use

Because the presentation AI software exists on another platform, you’ll find the ease of use to be top tier. Basically, everything is self-explanatory, and the leg work of the tool is maybe 5 clicks.

Likes And Dislikes

My biggest dislike: the generated theme is bland. Generative AI for text is already expected to be bland, but the theme being bland too, is a little annoying. So, you will need to edit the entire presentation.

The magic write feature is my favorite. It’s like they covered all the detail work that would normally be tedious and held to the end of your workflow.

At The End Of The Day…

Overall, I believe the presentation AI tool has its place in society. This may be for you if you want a frame and plan to take it from there anyway. I cannot recommend it if you want the app to do all of the heavy lifting; however, I don’t believe any professional would. The app will be amazing for those looking to streamline crossing your T’s and dotting your I’s.
